We believe this issue is related to having an operating system language which is different to UK English.
We're working on a hotfix for this that should be available shortly.
However, if you do not wish to wait there is a workaround. We have tested this internally and if you switch your OS language to UK English it should resolve the problem.

We're aware of an issue introduced in patch 0.1.12
As far as we can tell this is only affecting new characters.
Symptoms include not being able to interact with in-game assets or menus.
At the moment there is no workaround but rest assured we are looking into the issue as a top priority bug.
If you are impacted please raise a ticket with your output_log attached and we'll add it to the existing database entry.
- Right-click the game in your Steam Library
- Select Properties
- Navigate to the Local Files tab
- Select Browse Local Files...
- Go to the UnityClient@Windows_Data folder
- Inside you'll find a .txt file called 'output_log' - attach this to your ticket.
