Troubleshooting

Here's some steps we've found that have helped other people playing on a Mac, give them a go and see if they help you too! This is especially relevant if you're experiencing this problem when trying to access the Inside Donald Trump DLC.

  • Make sure you are an administrator!
  • Right click on Game in Library and click Properties
  • Click Local Files tab and then Browse Local Files
  • Copy the 'ss2013.app' (may appear just as 'ss2013') and then paste to any different directory.
  • Then delete the 'ss2013.app' inside the Steam folder where you copied the app.
  • Then copy the 'ss2013.app' you put in a different directory and paste back in to the original directory.
  • Run the game by double clicking the icon (this should work)

Finally, try clearing the game cache to make sure there's no corrupted data causing problems:

  • Right click on Surgeon Simulator in your Steam Library
  • Select Properties
  • Then go to the Local Files tab and select Verify Integrity of Game Cache
