Connection Issues

Note: If you need help with a connection issue please make sure you read and follow all the instructions to make sure we can assist you as quickly as possible. Missing logs will be asked for by our customer support representatives slowing down the process.

  • Firstly, please try running the game and Steam as an admin and ensure the game can pass through your firewall/proxy.
  • If you're receiving the error "Fetching deployments failed: listing deployments failed: HTTPS request to locator.improbable.io/locator/v2/tokens/steam failed: tlsv1 alert access denied tried again and got a raknet error then tried again and got first error again" (or similar) it may be caused by your anti-virus. Firstly, try disabling your anti-virus. If this does not work you may need to uninstall or disable any related services.
  • We're also aware of F-Secure users having issues connecting, you may need to uninstall or disable the associated services to log in correctly.
  • It also may help if you install any updates to your software / Windows too.


  • Right click on Worlds Adrift Alpha in your Steam Library
  • Select Properties
  • Then go to the Local Files tab and select Verify Integrity of Game Cache
  • Allow this to run.

If this does not work, try reinstalling completely.

At this point we’ll need you to send us your client logs so we can look into the issue further. To do this:

  • Right click on Worlds Adrift Alpha in your Steam Library
  • Select Properties > Local Files Tab
  • Browse Local Files
  • We need the latest ‘client’ txt file. Copy this and paste it to your desktop/documents
  • Navigate to UnityClient@Windows_Data
  • Locate a file called ‘output.log’. Copy this too.
  • Once you have those files go to https://www.worldsadrift.com/support/ and attach them to your ticket.

If you've never been able to connect and still can't we have some ports for you to try opening. Most people allow all outbound traffic by default but some strict firewalls may block this.

Please try allowing outbound ports 444 (tcp), 8000-9000 (tcp/udp) and 50000-60000 (tcp/udp). Be aware these are OUTBOUND ports not the normal inbound ports that most games use.

We'd also appreciate you sending your dxdiag to get a better idea of your system specs. To do this:

  • Press the Windows Key and R together - this will open up the 'Run' program (a little box in the bottom left of your screen.)
  • Type "Dxdiag" and then click OK or press Enter on your keyboard.
  • Select the Display tab.
  • Note the name and manufacturer of your card in the top left corner of the window.

We'd also appreciate the following information:

  • Steam Profile URL:
  • Location you're playing from?
  • Server you're connecting to?
  • Internet connection speed: (http://www.speedtest.net/):
  • What build is your game? (it should be found in the bottom right of the screen.)
  • Have you been able to connect previously?
  • What were you doing before this happened?
